Chef Tim McDiarmid was raised on a farm in rural Canada, growing her own food. For Tim, “farm to table” isn’t a fad that might come and go out of style; it’s her history. After a decade working in some of the most visionary whole foods restaurants in New York City, Tim chose to settle down in sunny, laid back San Antonio, then only on the cusp of its culinary revolution. A single mother, she wanted a flexible profession that would allow her to be with her son as well as focus on the wholesome, playful diet she’d always enjoyed. Tim the Girl Catering was born in 2011. Since then, Tim has won numerous awards and accolades, and opened a second business, The Good Kind Café.

Ashley Linney, Director of Sales and Events

Despite working in the hospitality industry since she was 15, Ashley Linney still loves the way a great idea comes together. From the initial conversation with a client all the way to the final, perfect event, Ashley handles all of the moving parts and ensures a seamless outcome. Before joining Tim the Girl, Ashley planned events at Page Barteau Catering, and spent ten years overseeing high-end private events in Austin.

Erica Myrick, Director of Operations

Erica touches every aspect of the business on a regular basis. Aside from handling all staffing and financial concerns, you will often see her prepping food, running a register at The Good Kind, and brainstorming menus with the rest of the team. Although her background is in marketing and finance, she has been in hospitality since 2000, in a variety of front of house positions. Erica has been a passionate foodie since she was a child.

Javi Ruiz, Director of Culinary Operations

One of the first graduates of the Culinary Institute of America-San Antonio, Javi returned to San Antonio after serving as Executive Chef of the Officers Club at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. Before joining Tim the Girl, Javi most recently served as executive chef at Ocho, the restaurant and bar at the Hotel Havana.
