5 Things to Do Instead of Cooking Your Own Meals this Week

Healthy Meal Delivery

MENU FOR WEEK May 30, 2016

Hello –

Let Tim the Girl save you some time in the kitchen, so that you can go out and have fun. Our food is healthy, delicious and delivered to your home or office.

This Thursday, Chef Michael Bomberg puts some sizzle into summer with the first in a series of Pop Up Parties at The Veranda, a 1920s mansion once owned by the founders of The Slimp Oil Company. Savory summer edibles and ice cold libations will entice guests to dine alfresco for the first “Remember The Alamo Beer Dinner.” The repast will feature four courses executed by Bomberg paired with seasonal craft beers from Alamo Beer Company. The Kerrville Folk Festival kicks off this weekend and features live concerts, music workshops, arts & crafts, food, family fun and a Kidsville. This 18-day event lasts through June 12. MORE

Saturday, San Antonio Water System co-hosts the Festival of Flowers, featuring indoor garden vendors, seminars, Organic Round Table, City-Wide Plant Exchange, 2016 Day Lily Show and Sale, plant exhibits, Herb Kitchen cooking demos, floral design and rain barrels.  MORE

Weekends through June 12, the Overtime Theater is hosting Supper Hour in Hell. Written by Tess Light, this two-act comedy is set in an upscale restaurant filled with shallow, witty, unpolished, aspirational, indecisive and sophisticated characters entangled in complicated relationships. We bounce from table to table listening in as the café’s snarky waiter chimes in on conversations. If you’ve ever sat through an uncomfortable meal with someone, pull up a seat, order the sturgeon and share in the awkwardness. MORE

Next Tuesday, PechaKucha returns, this time at Yanaguana Gardens at Hemisfair. Small bites (including some from TIm the Girl) and hosted bar for guests ages 21-years and older. MORE
